All volleyball players who played on this year’s team are asked to meet Thursday, November 30 in the LGI right before the beginning of 4th hour and “A” lunch.

The Latine Student Union will meet after school today from 3:45-5:45 in room 316.  Ms. Reyes hopes to see you there!

Please support Sisterhood by bringing in new or gently used hats, scarves, and gloves for the Monroe Elementary students this holiday season. Donations will be collected through December 19th. There are decorated collection boxes placed in the guidance office and the main office.  Thank you for your support.

  • Senior Number Signing:   During lunch tomorrow (Tuesday), seniors will be able to sign the numbers that will be on the back of the senior class shirt. If you are absent tomorrow, then you will be able to sign the numbers in Mr. Schulte's room Wednesday and Thursday.

     

  • The French Club will meet tomorrow (Tuesday) in room 312 after school at 3:40. We will read French Christmas stories, listen to French carols, and design Christmas cards, and things related to Christmas. A festive snack will be provided.  Everyone is welcome. You do not have to be enrolled in French to be part of the French Club.

     

  • The German Club will meet Wednesday after school in room 308.  We will hear about Mrs. Darden's weekend trip to the Christmas Market in Cologne, Germany! Snacks will be provided and we will play some games!  

     

  • KGT would like to thank all the Riley Wildcats who have participated this semester. Our last two meetings of the Semester are this Wednesday the 6th and our Holiday Party on the 13th. Please see Mr. Guthrie, Mr. Buison, Ms. Cheeseman, or Mr. Schulte if you have any questions.

     

  • The Drama Club will hold auditions for the spring musical, Jekyll and Hyde, on Monday, December 11th from 3:40 to 6 PM in the auditorium. All students are welcome. Audition packets are available in room 129 and the main office. Please reach out to Mr. Mittleman for more information.

  • Whatsup Wildcats? Anthony Schmok here representing the junior class cabinet.  We're selling candygrams all this week and next in order raise funds for the midwinter dance.  So, come down to the cafeteria and buy a $1 candygram any lunch period this week or next.  Happy Holidays!

     

  • The Riley swim and dive team has a home meet tonight against the Elkhart Lions.  Please come out and cheer on your swim and dive team tonight at 6:00! Goooooo Wildcats!!

  • This Wednesday, the 13th, our Girls’ Wrestling will be hosting our first ever dual wrestling meet here at Riley.  This is exciting, as our girls’ program continues to grow!  Good Luck Ladies!

     

  • The boys’ basketball team is playing South Bend Saint Joe this Friday (12/15) with girls’ varsity starting at 6 PM and boys’ varsity to follow at 7:30 PM. The game is being advertised as "Just for Kicks" since the boys’ team has partnered with local organizations such as, Center for the Homeless, St. Margaret's House, Salvation Army, Kroc Center, and Hope Ministries. All shoe donations will go directly to these organizations. We are accepting all new or gently used shoes and need kid’s, women’s and men’s shoes. Any style of shoe is fine! You can drop off shoe donations throughout this week in the Main Office or in the Athletic Office. If you bring a pair of shoes to the game, you can get in for free! If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Daniel.

·        Come hear the Riley Band, Orchestra, and Choir on Thursday, December 14th at 7 PM as they present their Winter Concert in the auditorium.  Admission is free.  All are welcome. Please come out and support the Riley High School Music Department!

·        Congratulations to our own Life Skills teacher, Mrs. Heidi Daren, on becoming a National Board-Certified teacher. Less than 250 teachers in the entire state have completed this difficult certification process.

  • Attention all Students:  Lost and Found items have been displayed on a table in the Atrium next to the Student Management office.  Any items still remaining at the end of the day tomorrow will be donated to Goodwill.  If you have lost anything this semester, please look for your item on the table.

  • Boys’ varsity basketball is asking you to please donate new or gently used shoes.  The team has partnered with local organizations to promote, “Just for Kicks.” Any style of shoe is fine!  Please drop off donations this week to the main or athletic office.  If you donate a pair of shoes at the game TOMORROW NIGHT, your admission is free!  The game against South Bend St. Joe begins with our girls’ varsity team at 6pm followed by boys’ varsity at 7:30pm.

·        Save the Date for Riley’s Midwinter dance on Sunday, February 18. All Riley students are welcome to attend this semi-formal event. Tickets will go on sale mid-January for $15 cash per student or $16 debit card per student.  Start planning now for this night under the Northern Lights.

  • Mr. Henderson is asking scholars to please be respectful of all homecoming decorations in the halls.  All decorations will remain until Friday, January 19th.

     

  • The Class of 2026 has partnered with the Erskine Village Hacienda for a "Gives Back" Fundraiser. Please dine in, order carry out, or purchase a gift card on Monday, January 22nd to support the sophomore class as they prepare for next year's midwinter dance. Special tokens must be used when making a purchase. These can be picked up in the main office.  

     

  • Both our homecoming pep assembly and game will now be held Friday, February 16.

     

  • Riley’s mid-winter dance will be held Sunday, February 18.All Riley students are welcome to attend this semi-formal event at Riverside Terrace in Mishawaka.  Tickets will go on sale mid-January for $15 cash per student or $16 debit card per student.  Students taking a non-Riley guest will need to pick up a permission slip from Mrs. Weisser in the Treasurer’s Office.
