  • STUDENTS TAKING ISTEP SHOULD CHECK THE TV SCREENS IN THE ATRIUM TOMORROW MORNING TO SEE WHERE TO GO FOR THEIR TESTING SITE.
  • Freshman boys’ basketball tryouts will be held Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30 -7:00 PM.Players must have physical forms turned in, registered on Family ID, and $25 Insurance turned in prior to tryouts!!

    Junior Varsity and Varsity tryouts will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:30-6:00 PM. 

  • Today is the first day of Teacher Spirit Wars! Help support your teachers by putting your change in their buckets throughout the week. Today is Superhero Day.
  • Jostens will meet with seniors TOMORROW @9:15 AM in the Auditorium.
  • A meeting for the Black History Challenge will be held today at 4:45 in our LGI. Please see Mrs. Scales if you have questions.

  • ISTEP starts Monday, November 11th. Teachers have been emailed the list of all students testing and where they are to report for their testing site on Monday.
  • Next week will be the start of Teacher Spirit Wars. Some of our teachers will be dressed up collecting money for Special Olympics and Unified Schools. If you see a teacher dressed up in the theme, show your support and drop some change in their collection buckets. Monday's theme is: Superhero Day.

  • We all know that February is black history month.  If you want to be involved in something that celebrates black history, there will be a city wide black history quiz bowl challenge held on February 13th.  The winners of this challenge will go on to the national competition that will be held in Atlanta, Ga. in the spring.  If you’re interested, a meeting will be held Monday, November 11th at 4:45 in our LGI.  Please see Ms. Scales if you have questions.

  • South Bend College Goal Sunday will provide help completing the FAFSA.Financial Aid experts will be ready with FREE help, so you and your family can file the FAFSA form ONLINE in one afternoon.This FREE event will be held this weekend on Sunday (November 3) from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at IUSB in the Education Arts Building at 1102 S. Esther St.FAFSA online and Spanish interpreters will be available at this site.
  • The first wrestling practice is Monday, November 4th after school. Please see Coach Flatt in Room 400 if you need information about joining.  All paperwork and insurance payment must be completed before practicing.

  • Who doesn't like pizza? Support Riley yearbook by eating at Blaze Pizza in Eddy Street Commons TODAY after school until 8pm. Show a picture of the flyer for your contribution. All proceeds help pay for this year's publishing.
  • Freshman are to report to the Registration tables outside of the auditorium tomorrow (Wednesday) morning to participate in Character Day
  • Tomorrow during testing (PSAT) seniors are encouraged to schedule a college visit.
  • A reminder to all students:  The final day for shorts is Thursday, October 31
  • Students are not allowed to dress up in any way for Halloween this week while attending school

  • The Case of Alex Hansen  will be presented tonight and Saturday evening at 7:00 for just $5.00 in the Riley Auditorium. Get your tickets at the door or from any cast member.
  • Riley Review will sell Papa John’s sausage, pepperoni, or cheese pizza today during all three lunch hours. $1.75 a slice,$3 for two slices, or buy a whole pizza for $12.
  •  Attention all sisterhood members:  Please remember to bring your candy in on Monday morning for the trunk or treat night. 
  • Parking Permits for the student parking lot are sold for $10 for the school year in the treasurer’s office. Any student who parks at school must have a parking permit.This includes CTE students who park at Riley in the morning or afternoon. Avoid a ticket and pick up the paperwork from Ms. Marvin in the main office.The deadline for parking permits is Monday, October 28th.

  • ALSO, GOOD LUCK TO THE RILEY FOOTBALL TEAM AS THEY PLAY IN THE SECTIONAL TONIGHT AT JACKSON FIELD!  STARTING TIME IS 7:30 AND TICKETS ARE $6 EACH.
