Computer Science & Engineering Magnet

Magnet application

Students choose either the computer science or the engineering pathway. They are challenged by focused, hands-on, standards-driven courses that prepare them for future endeavors that require high-tech skills and knowledge.

Students in grades 8 - 11 from all districts may enroll. If you are interested in learning more, schedule a visit.

The Riley magnet is nationally certified as an Innovation High School through Project Lead the Way (PLTW). Our PLTW certification enables students to earn up to 18 college credits and multiple scholarship opportunities only awarded to PLTW graduates. Our students create, design, build, discover, collaborate with peers and engineers, and solve problems while applying what they learn in math and science.

Distinguished school

"We invite you to visit us to learn more about this unique program. Students in 8th through 11th grades from all districts may request a school visit where we pair you with a current magnet student in your pathway of interest and activities. You will spend a day at RHS to see what it's really about."
