Major: Political Science (Computer and Information Technology Minor)   

Zach Stewart graduated from Riley High School in 2017. During his time at Riley he was involved in the orchestra and National Honor Society, and founded the Riley Engineering Ambassador Program. Zach spent three years at an internship with the Bowman Creek Educational Ecosystem through the University of Notre Dame and was awarded the Chick Evans Scholarship for Caddies. Since graduating from Riley he has been studying at Purdue University and completed two more internships (one with a local campaign in Tippecanoe County and one with the Purdue Center for C-SPAN Scholarship & Engagement. Zach studied in Washington D.C. and served as a senator in Purdue's Student Senate, among other activities. He says "My time at Riley High School was incredible and my experiences there opened many doors for my future academic and work careers." While the PLTW programs at Riley provided him valuable technical skills that helped in a variety of future careers and life skills, the programs also provided arguably even more important soft skills such as communication, leadership, networking, and professionalism. These are invaluable skills that Zach has carried into his college career and jobs post-Riley.
