  • SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE RILEY HIGH SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION:

    Class of 2025: 

    On March 5th our Juniors will be taking the SAT here at Riley. It will be an asynchronous day for all other grades. It is important for our students to be prepared and do their best on this test as it directly impacts our schools’ grade. As we are trying to prepare for the number of students who will be leaving, after such a challenging test, we are asking for your help. If you are leaving when you are done testing, please send in a note or email to Mrs. Murphy ([email protected]) or Mrs. Scott ([email protected]) between today and Monday, March 4, 2024. All exit passes need to be submitted in writing (digital or original) prior to test day. Please begin sending them in ASAP.

    We thank you for your cooperation in helping with this matter. 

  • A Reminder for Seniors....If at least the first payment of $50 is not made by 3:00 PM TODAY, you will not be able to go on the senior trip. We have to sign contracts based on the number of students attending. We only know you are serious about attending by getting your money. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Knappenberger. 

  • Please help support the Riley Athletic department by purchasing a ticket for Port-a-Pit chicken!  Chickens are $10 each.  The event will be held right here in the Riley parking lot when we return from spring break on Monday, April 8th and will be available starting at 3:00pm.Pre-sale tickets are good until 5:30pm that day.  Please see a spring athlete or the athletic department for your tickets.

  • Tickets are now on sale for the Drama Club's spring musical, Jekyll & Hydewith performances on Friday, March 15th at 7 PM and Saturday, March 16th at 7 PM$5 tickets for SBCSC students and staff can be purchased through our online box office at our.show/rhsjekyllhyde. In order to receive this special pricing, you must buy your tickets online and use the following code at check out: (SBCSC5)Tickets at the door are $7.   • The 2024 Hoosier Poet yearbooks have been ordered! For $78 you can secure one before we sell out! Scan the QR codes posted around the school to order online or see Mrs. Weisser in the treasurer's office or Ms. Emkow. The yearbooks are payable with cash, money order, or card for a small fee. Deposits will be accepted with full payments due at the time of distribution at the end of the year. 

     

  • February is Career & Technical Education Awareness Month.  Focus today:  Entrepreneurship:  Learn how to operate your own business.  Students will be afforded the opportunity to work with mentors from the University of Notre Dame’s MBA Program and compete in the McCloskey New Venture Competition.  Possible careers include:  Business office assistant, sales representative, accountant, business research & development.  Current students are:  Hannah Freel, Damon Johnson, Karis Johnson, Calvin Strickland, Brandon Wirth, Avery Flatt, Jemiah Hallom, Sheniyah Howell, Nitarra Hughes, and Eusebio Mayorga 

Jumpstart your career with CTE.  Try on a career and see if it fits.  Dual credit is available in many classes along with industry recognized certification AND no cost to you or your family. These courses help assist students to complete Bucket #3 in your Graduation Pathway.   See your Career Guidance Specialist Mrs. Diane Carter or your Guidance Counselor for more information.
